Why Do Wealthy Families Get a Second Residency?
Sophisticated families don’t want a better passport. They want different rules.
That’s a different purchase entirely.
I spent years in luxury travel and private aviation. I sat with people who could buy anything.
And none of them were buying more. They were buying less. Less waiting. Less exposure. Less being stuck in somebody else’s queue. Not a faster line. No line.
That’s what residency by investment actually is, and almost nobody frames it that way. It isn’t a nicer travel document.
It’s a different set of rules than the ones you were assigned at birth.
The families I work with aren’t collecting countries. They’re removing friction.
And here’s the part that took me a while to see. Once you can afford nearly anything, money stops being the filter.
Access becomes the filter.
At this level, wealth isn’t buying more things. It’s just buying more say over the rules that shape your life.
