Can I Add Family Members to My Residency Application After I File?
Adding a family member after you file is almost always harder than including them at the start.
Sometimes it’s a completely separate application.
Here’s why, and it isn’t the money. On a residency by investment application, every single person is a full stack of documents. Birth certificate. Marriage record. Police check. Translations. All of it certified. Sometimes from a country where the record is forty years old and handwritten in a village office. So when a family tells me they want everyone included, my first question isn’t about the investment.
It’s who’s chasing the paper. In what language. From how far away.
Then I ask everyone’s age, because that number moves underneath you while you decide.
A child who qualifies today might not in eighteen months. Programs draw lines at 24, 25, 26. Birthdays don’t wait for your paperwork.
